The W.A.R. Model

The W.A.R. Model frames games as structured containers built around Work & Reward cycles.

  • Worlds (Locations & Screens): The environments, hubs, and interface viewports where gameplay occurs.
  • Activities (Verbs & Loops): The core actions performed by the player (combat, trade, search, score execution).
  • Resources (Currencies & Data Pools): The persistent and transient data pools (health, gold, ammo, XP) awarded for performing activities.
